First. Ever. Blog hop! Pending I can at least figure out how to connect after writing my "blurb"! I guess there's no time like the present to open up for feedback. The problem is, I don't know how to do a lot of the stuff, like add new pages, and pictures, and fancies yet! But, It'd be nice to get some direction for when I have the skills and the time...gentle direction, that is :)

Your blog looks realyl laid out and easy to follow for a faarly newbie...I'm impressed!
One thing I noticed was that your titles are on the patterned background, so they are a little difficult to read (at the top of the page) and a few of your photos are bleeding into the background.
Otherwise, I think you've got a great thing going!

only critique i have... maybe add a solid color to your sidebar, to make it easier to read. and bring your archives up to the top of the page.

Hey - I love the color and the pattern on here! I also LOVE the banner with the picture! I would just suggest you mover your "About Me", "Blog Archive" and "My Followers" to the top of the page...in that order! Also, WE WANT PICTURES!!! I only read about 6 posts, but I didn't see any. You could also consider widening your main blog column to make each post more wide. Can't wait to read more!

You know I love you my dear...I also know how busy you are. How can I critique you when you have me on your roll? :) Haha...Love that you are putting some thought and care into your lovely blog. It is getting there. I am sure this is the beginning of a long process. I know mine has been and STILL is a work in progress. My gentle suggestion is to move your followers up to right underneath you. I love that you showcase you. :) The next step is to get your followers right below you. Time is so crucial {as you know}..and when people come to your page..they will determine usually within 1 minute if they will follow. Take advantage of that 1 minute. :) You also might want to change your font in the sidebar to be black so it shows up with the contrast of the swirls...just food for thought my dear. I am just thrilled you are here. :) Once again these are just gentle thoughts. I know that taking a risk and putting yourself out there is very scary, but you should feel so proud and empowered. I hope that you are not a no-reply when dealing with comments. I always love being able to respond to my bloggers. Also...if you need anything, Gail and I would love to help. Just let us know what we can do. :)

Hi! I absolutely LOVE the background pattern...so beautiful! And the photo of your girls having a crazy good time and laughing really makes a great statement to what your blog will be all about. So cute!
ReplyDeleteA couple teensy tiny things:Including your labels somewhere on the sidebar would be helpful for people to puruse your blog by topic. Pictures in your posts would be great as well.

Love the photo in your header and the background paper (although it does make it a little hard to read your sidebar). I'm also a big fan of browsing past posts by labels so maybe your could add them to your sidebar? Great blog though :)

I am only 4 months into this, so not the expert, but have figured out alot of things on my own and with a few blogger's help.
